Tony was captivated by finance at the age of 9 when his father, an economist, gave him 100 shares of his first stock as an introduction to the stock market.
Tony later graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Psychology and started his career in financial services. His background in finance and psychology give him a unique ability to integrate wealth management expertise with an understanding of the emotional and psychological effects of money.
Passionate about learning, Tony continues to research and study financial planning concepts and portfolio management techniques. He believes that while there are time-tested financial principals that must be adhered to, wealth management strategies should remain flexible to adjust to ever-changing tax laws, economic conditions, and demographic trends.
Tony has earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. A Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) has met rigorous standards regarding competent and ethical behavior in providing financial advice. Individuals certified by the CFP Board have taken the extra step to demonstrate their professionalism by submitting to a rigorous CFP certification process that includes education, examination, experience and ethical requirements. Once certified, CFP practitioners are required to maintain technical competence and fulfill ethical obligations as well as stringent continuing education requirements.
Tony is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®) and is committed to advancing the financial planning profession. Tony’s article on retirement probability analysis using Monte Carlo simulation was included in the book Modeling Risk, by Dr. Jonathan Mun (Wiley Finance).
Although professional accolades are appreciated, Tony knows his greatest achievement has been his clients’ trust and respect.
